Robin Hood hackers target banks
The degree to which hacking groups are supporting Occupy Wall Street has been a bit hazy so far. A publicized threat on the NYSE never materialized, and the original threat may have been a hoax. But as a matter of course, banks should always be on guard. Robin Hood hackers are hardly the only would be attacker out there. Banks are under assault every day, and those assaults are getting more sophisticated by the day. If a bank hasn’t gotten its act together on security by now, it’s got a lot of problems.
It did issue a warning via the web that people should consider moving their funds from commercial banks to credit unions, which would not be targeted by the group.
